Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off the shift light on a 2006 Silverado 4.3 5 spd

why would you want to do this? you could slways unlpug the light from the dash or just take the bulb out of the dash.

I want to because it drives me up the wall. I haven't pulled the cluster yet to figure out if I can just pull a bulb yet or not. I thought maybe some one may know of a way to turn it off instead of just unplugging it

Without a flash update for the IPC, I doubt you can just turn it off.... and I am fairly sure they don't offer a flash update to turn it off......

Best thing to do is to pull the bulb.......
