Dash Peeling

In my new (used) 2002 sierra 1500, the dash is peeling on the passenger side just above the glove box. I'm not concerned about color matching or making it look brand new, but I just want to stop the peeling. It is the charcoal laminate that is peeling exposing the black underneath. Can I just use some clear nail polish on the edges to prevent more peeling? If not, what would you all suggest?

Same boat here. I've got a 2"x2" area that got beat up on mine and don't want it to spread.

I had the same problem..I just used matching dye that I had left over from spraying my console...and applied it with a paint brush..no problems since.
