1998 k1500 6.5" lift, tires, rims

I've made the decision to go ahead and sell my truck. Its a 1998 k1500 with 154,xxx miles. Its got a 5.0L Auto transmission which runs strong and the tranny shifts very smoothly. All the brakes were just done. front got new rotors and pads. the Back got everything done, new drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, and spring kit. oil changed every 3,000 miles. Its burgandy in color with tan cloth interior which is in really really good shape. Power windows, locks, mirrors, and lumbar support also has keyless entry. heres the list of goodies:

-Dick Cepek 6.5 lift
-35" Xterrains
-16x10" Black Helo Maxx 6 wheels
-Pro Comp Prerunner light bar
-Black Grill with billet insert
-Black Projector headlights (full set)
-Black Bumper with fog light holes
-Clarion DXV855mp touch screen head unit
-Kicker ks65 front speakers
-red neons inside cab
-tinted around outside of rear taillights (still legal, lights themselves were not darkened)
-I removed the muffler but left the catalytic converter. I ran a straight pipe from the cat to the outside of the truck in front of the right rear tire. Its not that loud. My buddy has glasspacks and his trucks louder. Can cruise without any interior resonance.

It was my daily driver. its got scratches here and there but it cleans up extremely well. I get compliments everywhere i go with it. The passenger side of the truck there are dents in the lower part of the bed in front of the rear tire from a parking lot incident. also has a scratch on the third door. Its all fixable. Im missing a vent for the dashboard. The blower motor only works on high (the resistor in the switch is bad).

I tried the ebay thing too tons of watchers no bidders. Waste of $40 or whatever it cost me to put it on there. The best thing i did is auto trader. I got a few calls a week on it then it sold and it seemed like I had 5 people calling me each day after it was gone.

the gears deffinetly made a huge difference in the performance of the truck for sure. yeah i never thought id have trouble selling it for 5 grand but doesnt seem like anyone wants a nice truck these days.

yeah its definetly a deal. it does have the ABS light on since the new gears were installed but a tuner would get rid of that. and there is a Service Engine Soon light on which is a P0446 code. it is that the evap purge soleniod isnt working properly but there is no leak. i believe the part is around $20. just been to busy with everyone elses cars to do my own. doesnt affect performance or anything. just dumb emission parts.

I bought the car a couple years ago with the intention of making it a street/race car. It is still stock down to the exhaust and air filter. With the mods I have waiting to be installed it should be an easy mid 12 sec no problem. It runs and shifts great, no known problems. I am missing the headliner and the high beam switch needs to be replaced. Besides that and the radio needing to be replaced, there is nothing wrong as far as I know. The paint is stock for 1994 and is not perfect, it could use a paint job. The front has a small spider-web at the nose where someone must have backed into it (only about 10 inches in diameter). i do have the stock gears for the truck. if you want to use the 4wheel drive you have one of two options: 1, put the stock gears back in the rear. or 2, put 4.56 gears in the front to match the ones in the rear. would you be willing to meet halfway if we do this trade?

yes I would be willing to meet half way. Where would that be? How far is it for you to get to Ocean City, Md? How reliable is the truck? Would you trailer the car? I would bring it up on a trailer with title in hand. I don't have tags on it right now. Could you put the stock gears back in? I don't think I would need a 4.56 gear, if so would you be interested in keeping and selling if its worth you installing the stocker back. How bad was the truck with the stock gears? Do you have any other pics of the truck as far as the body damage and tire tread? Thanks

i wouldnt be trailoring the truck out. ocean city is about 3hr and 45min away. the truck is reliable. i cant put the stock gears back in sorry. ill give you them with the truck so you can have it done. the transmission takes a beating with the stock gears in it since it will shift in and out of overdrive with the slightest increase in acceleration. ill have to get those pics to you tomorrow. tires have 85-90% tread. I dont think i can find someone to trailor my truck out so i'd be driving it. meeting halfway isnt to far. I'll have to insure the car that day so i could drive back with it. Id just use the tags off my truck.

If you could get me those pics I would really appreciate it. I am in Southern MD, and O.C. is about a 3-1/2 hour drive for me. I haven't taken the car on any long trips since I have had it, but I don't see any problem with driving it home. Keep in mind you will have a bunch of boxes with all the new parts to go with the car, so room for 2 would be it. I also have a trans am rear hatch if your interested going with the car its red and has a high spoiler. It would be no problem to meet. I have a few other guys wanting my car, but I like your truck and location. What is the stock gear size? And clean title in hand?

i have the title and yes its clean. the stock gears were 3.73. im not sure how i can get the hatch home haha. maybe i could just have the wing off it? what kind of gas mileage can i expect from this? and im guessing you haven't eliminated the "skip shift" on it?

nope, everything is stock. I did wire a manual fan switch in the ashtray though. Just cause these cars run on the hot side. You can switch from high speed cooling fan to low speed (dual fans) and the LED tells you which one is on. oh yeah, also have a 160 degree thermostat and I am sure I am forgetting other stuff. The car is ready to be put together and be a fast ride. The cam selection I went with is a great street/race cam. Not to aggressive, but still makes awesome power. A guy with the same motor on LS1tech just dynoed his with just a tad less mods and put down 360hp and like 400rwtq. The setup is really bad ass and I would not want to get rid of the car, but I was laid off a little bit ago and started a home improvement business and need to have a truck. Let me know i fthere i anything else you would like know.

no mechanical problems or anything with the truck. it has a new waterpump. just changed the oil about 80 miles ago. brakes are excellent. mapquest says you are about 4hrs and 20min away from me. think we could meet in delaware? my location is Waretown NJ 08758 if you would like to look at the map yourself.
