Looking at switching out to a new cluster mainly to gain a trans temp gauge so want to switch to the escalade cluster, cuz its got the trans temp and looks cool.
My question is - What have you guys done as far as the mileage? i have heard that the dealers can reprogram the new cluster, is this true?

I believe dealers send them out. Buy one from a seller who will program them. Go to eBay as some of those sellers will have them programmed.

not to mention dealers will charge out the A** to program the mileage for you. (unless you have a hookup that is!)

i have a place local here that does them for 65 bucks. So send me your cluster and return shipping and I can help a fellow FSC brother out! They did mine when I bought my cluster off ebay a few months ago.

Install is simple...just pop-off the dash bezel (snaps on), then the gauges are only held down with (4) 10mm screws, then just unplug the old and plug in the new...takes all of 10min tops.

I put the SS gauges in my 2005. I bought them off ebay from www.usspeedo.com and they programmed the mileage and engine hours for me before they shipped it.

Divineguy, that sounds like a good deal, and thanks for the info guys, the ebay seller i was looking at said it was possible to program the mileage but i was skeptical. i am really lookn foward to have the clean look of the trans temp gauge, as i tow with my tahoe.

the other thing i was just thinkin about was the escalade speedo goes to 120 while my stock cluster tops out at 100 will the computer recognize this or will the new speedometer gauge be off?

Don,t the guages need to be from the same year group like 00-02 and 03-06 and so I've been told. because I have a 01 yukon and would like like to go to a ss gauge setup was told I could not.

no one quote me on this, but im 90% sure your right. I belive the harnesses dont match up.

The only thing im for sure on is that the lighting is very different. The 99-02's have 5/6 screw type bulbs, making a color change very easy while the 03+ have the solder type LED's we've been discussing.
