just been to the wreckers, they have two buckets and a console for a 96 Sub. Nice condition but the frame is bent on the d/s seat. Also just been to the upholstery shop and they say because of the material embossing on the seats that they cannot replace the seat material but only re-cover atop the old stuff. Doesnt look to me that that would be an alternative.
As an aside, any ideas on the labour needed to install 94 buckets in a 95? Found two and a console out of a 94 Sierra GT, different red but will they install easily into a '95 RC??

they quite often will cover over existing seats. This is 100% OK. All the cavalier seats are heat sealed to the foam so unless you want to rip up the foam the covers are not gonna be removed. I dunno about the sub seats but I know the process is

Just to ask the field as well, has anyone actually had their seats recovered in these years and this heat/glueing process to maintain the seat contours works? The thing I cant figure is when they adhere it to the creases and over the pipeing.
Another problem I have as well is the foam, mine is disintegrating and crumbles bad, on top of that its crushed pretty well on the entry point on the outside of the seat. BTW I have the fabric covered, split bench/bucket seat back seats with a fold down armrest in Ruby Red.

If your foam is going/gone, ask the upholstery shop what they charge to replace the foam when they are recovering the seat. Just a thought....

I had my panels and seats recovered in my 93. The foam was also broken down badly on the drivers seat where you get in the truck, so I had them re-foam that corner. Feels like new now.

i paid over a k, but it was a custom job, in leather and suede. And the shop was pretty high rate. I think 2-3 hundred a seat for a normal job is pretty average
