My knob for my headlights is starting to gum up and is all sticky and falling apart. I know the knob doesn't come off like the a/c knobs, but is there aftermarket knobs i can get or do i have to get the whole control unit to get a new knob?

Check out local junkyards for a used one that might be in better shape. If not check out LMC truck or CK resto for a new switch.

the knobs will come off, its the exact same knob as on the heater controls, all it is, is a metal ring thats clamped onto the rod coming out of the switch(inside the knob), just take a small screwdriver and pop it off, if it doesn't just pull off.
