on a 95-99 OBS I need a distance from the inside of the driver door panel to the inside of the passenger panel with the doors closed. on the same truck I also need the width of the dash in the same area (where the dash is like 1/2" from the door) measurement should be something like 62" - 65" but i need to know exact. :rocking:

thanks.

These are from a 1998 K1500 extended cab...

Driver door to passenger door is 64-3/4". This is from the carpet trim above the armrest on the driver door to the carpet trim on the passenger.

The dash panel is widest where it meets the A-pillar and narrows as it comes toward you. The dash at its widest is 64" even. It's hard to get a good measurement anywhere else since all the edges are rounded except at the A-pillar.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need any other dimensions.

It sounds like you're making an interior swap. What are you doing?

excellent... that helps a ton, now I can commence welding and not feel bad. :D

I'm swapping a NBS dash (99-02)into my 93. I'm also doing the ls1 swap at the same time. basically, instead of integrating all the old electronics and ugly dash with the BS square radio, I'm just integrating the old HVAC box. everything else from the front seats forward will be from the donor truck.

Sounds good, let us know how it turns out.

My wife has a 2003 Tahoe, so if you need any measurements from it I'll pass them on. They should be the same as a 1999 model.

even though I know I'm the only one stupid enough to attempt this swap, I figured I would update this thread. I did some of the fitment and welding today. talk about a ton of work thats a pain in the ass. It gives you alot of respect for the guys at GM that got the the dash/weatherstrip/door panel fit up so nice on the 99-07 trucks compared to the old. I keep trying to tell myself this is going to be worth it, but right now its wearing my nerves.
