help with my heater controls

ive got a 1990 chevy silverado 1500, my heater moter recently quit working on me, so i had to wrestle it out from under the dash only to find it was just full(and i mean FULL) of dirt so once i cleaned out the moter it worked perfectly, i put itall back in my rig and now my heater wont switch to the panel all i have is defrost and floor, and the defrost is always on when the heater is on, could it be that i just need to find new elecronic controls for my heater or am i screwed?

Its possible a vacuum line got knocked off or broken under the dash, or a piece of duct work is off.

ok thats what i was wondering, now my heater moter took a **** on me again so i get to rip it out again and buy a new one, OH BOY!
