Jim,
I am running a Hellwig rear bar with a stock front that has all polyurethane bushings and links.
The hellwig bar works real well although I did have to make some shorter spacers to level it out.
With my 6" rear drop the shortest spacers in the kit gave the bar a nose down attitude and cocked the end links in the front brackets. I made some 5/8" long spacers and it leveled out nice. It's been on the truck since '99 with no problems.

I have a rear hellwig bar, mine works, but I had to do some grinding and painting, also I changed all the hardware, the stuff they sent with it was of a low grade, I would buy Hotchkis the next time.

How much is a Hotchkis rear bar? I used to know, but that was years ago before I even had my 2/4 drop. I'm thinking of buying a rear bar to put on sometime soon after I bag my truck next month.

They want $425.00 for the set with free shipping if you order from their site online.

DAYUM!!! I know Hotchkis is the sh!t and all, but that hurts! I may have to settle for Hellwig for now. The bags are going to take way more than what I have anyhow.

The Hellwig bar is $130 @ Summit w/ free shipping.
I have had NO problems with the "low grade" hardware and I drive my truck pretty hard. Mark

Just keep your eyes on your hellwig guys, the brackets that hold the bar to your rearend housing will shift after a while, it was admited to me by hellwig, and they even sent me 2 new brackets, end links and bushings at no charge, the shifting brackets also causes the "low grade" hardware that they use to come off, even after I torqued everything according to the instructions and I even used lockthight.
After welding my new home made brackets to my tube, and using high grade hardware, my hellwig has been good.
Hope this helps somebody.
