How hard is it to remove a dash from a 98 chevy? I have some serious cracks in it and want to replace it with one from LMC or one from a salvage yard in good condition. Do you know where I can find instructions on removing and reinstalling it? Also besides LMC and the bone yards what other options are out there to find a replacement dash. I have the blue on blue, and I don't mind changing it to a blue on gray.

Dash Rug FTW!
I've never seen one that new with cracks, but you do live in TX.
I'm pretty sure there are some threads on here with the info you need from when people did the 95+ interior swap and stuff like that. Good luck!

Having that drk blue int and being parked outside 90% of the time didn't help it either. I will look at the threads on the dash swaps.

I would pull it- gorilla glue it with some foam under the crack or you coud even buy the plastictite glue for it to seal the crack and prevent it from continuing to grow.

You guys do realize a 98 is like 11 years old now, cracks don't suprise me.

Dude, putting a 98 back into a 98 is nothing. Several bolts on top, a bolt under the dash on each far side, a few 7mm bolts under, and a few bolts lowering the steering column. Well of course make sure you take all gauges, head light, ac/heaters controls out. Taking it out will basically go in the same way. Good luck.

Oh, a junk yard is going to be your best bet, i bought a gray dirty dash with no cracks from a junkyard for 50 bucks, cleaned it, redyed it, and it looks new. Have a 93 silverado with all brown interior and bought all used interior parts and dyed them all gray. Looks brand new in my truck!
