has anyone used some insulation called thermozite? has the jute carpeting and like a foillike material for heat under that. gonna be redoing my carpet and found this stuff but if it's junk I don't wanna do it! here's a link. http://yourautotrim-store.stores.yahoo.net/thercarpad.html

that doesnt look like junk... anything like that will help to sound proof the interior... what other options for paddings/insulators have you found?

It doesnt look bad. Just make sure with whatever carpet kit you order it wont be to thick. A lot of the kits come with a backing.:rocking:

a lot of the carpets i've found are oem molded ones. problem with mine is it's bodydropped and not an oem floor any more. the carpet i found that i'm gonna use is from the autotrim store that's 80" wide and says it's like a flexible carpet but doesn't have any backing. i figured since i need to have something under there for ins. that stuff looked like it would work, just wanted some opinions if it's been used or not. i've seen the noise killer and dynamat and all that i just figured this stuff had all in one deal. I also did find a place that had the thermozite that was double insualted on each side! might use that stuff then!
