carpets wet

Both my passenger and driver side carpeting is damp pretty much in the middle about a 8in diameter area. I have checked the ac condensation drain in the firewall and it is clear. Did run the A/C a full for the first time a few days ago. any suggestions on what could be causing this. Also whats the best way to dry it up and get the carpets rid of mildew

wet vac and then I would pull the carpet out amd let dry

i think the wet vac would be sufficient... pulling the carpet seems extreme.. if you are worried about it maybe pull it up a bit to get some air movement under it. as for leak also check the heater core... this is water and not antifreeze/coolant? if you think its from the exterior use a hose to isolate the leak
