for sanding interior plastic pieces?
started sanding using a mouse sander - too slow
sanding by hand - too much work
any tips or ideas?

patients?

I did my piece by hand. Have you tried a palm sander?

I did mine by hand, it was hard but the outcome was more rewarding. I have no pics of the sanded piece, but i never got the chance to paint it, sanded nice and smooth though :D

yeah, I'm using a mouse sander
I know it's going to take a lot of patience
did you use any high build primer?

belt sander? hah

cant think of anything quicker than that, although itll probly kill the plastic.

My plan was to use a good base of primer just to get it smooth. just be careful when sanding it down, cuz it would be easy to burn down to the plastic. it's a good way of getting a smooth finish without crazy amounts of sanding, but i went the other way and sanded it down the whole way.
