got a 99 silverado. have manual seats currently....thinking of buying some power seats for it from yard....
what would i have to do to wire them up...can i supply just power to them...or would i need the harness and circuit to do properly?

I believe the seat just has 2 wires (positive and ground). If you find the seat has more than 2 wires, then find a wiring diagram or wait for another response. Don't know how many amps a seat draws, but connect the positive wire to a "hot with key on" terminal and the ground wire to a good clean chassis point and the seat should work.

that is my thought too. that simple key on power and ground is all it will take. if nothing else, i could run a dedicated fused power wire to it. i know factory seats work without key on..but i don't know if i want to go that far into it.

I'd go with "key-on power", always seemed safer to me for most accessories.

99 NBS has this circuit already in place it takes only 2 wires a power and a ground. Look in the fuse panel and locate the 2 pins for the power seat breaker. Find the hot pin or live 12 volt pin plug in the fuse panel. Get an in line fuse holder one capable of handling at least 25,30 amps get the appropriate breaker 20,25,30 amp whatever OEM is and install. This way you will be on a protected circuit (has a fuse upstream that protects the circuit incase you have a malfunction) and have power all the time. Hope this helps!

I found the factory wiring & plug on my 93 silvy under the carpeting under the driver seat. I swaped a power driver side bucket for my manual bench, pluged it in & installed a fuse in the factory location. Works fine.
