Greetings everyone!

I just bought this truck and need to get a couple of things done. First off, the drivers power window is struggling... it won't go down but just a little bit and I'm having to help it go back up. Secondly, the passenger side front speaker is blown. So, I need to replace/fix both of those soon.

Does anyone have a guide/pictures how to remove the door panels of my 2002 silverado 1500 extended cab so I can get to the guts of the door to accomplish my tasks?

Any and all help would be appreciated!

THanks!!!!!!!

Try looking in the audio/video forum too. Those guys get into the doors more often than anybody else.

pry up the power windor switch assembly and disconnect the electrical connectors...use a trim tool to pry out the trim panel covering the mirror mount, and pry the trim around the inside door handle.. you can also use a a flathead screw driver if u have to.

then find the 2 mounting screws by the door handle, you should be able to see the 1 and you exposed the other one from under the window switches. holding the door handle, pull up and out at the same time to release the panel from the clips on the door..

Thanks for your help. It was a much easier process than I thought it would be. Definitely much easier than working on my wife's Jetta.

The 2 front speakers have now been replaced and the drivers side regulator and motor have also been replaced... its easy!
