LED questions

I was wondering what kind of bulbs to get for an light swap. I know it's 194's for the instrument cluster, but what about the dome and the lights under the dash?

dome uses 44mm festoon bulbs and the lights under the dash are 194's.

what leds are you changing to?

well for a 2000 its 194 bases for everything but the dome.the smt leds on www.v-leds.com are seriously bright but expensive.i got a set for the floor and like them better then the regular leds from superbrightleds.com

v-leds.com has a new festoon thats all smt leds.i am thinking of getting this.

if you do a search for leds on this site their is a huge @ss thread about it with all the info u need.

:word: i also swapped some of my regular superbrightleds bulbs to SMTs from v-leds and they are definitely worth the extra price. I was using 5-LED bulbs under the dash from SBL, and they were kinda dim, but then i went to a 9-LED SMT from V-led and its comparable to the stock light output.

put your make and year in
then your model
and the results show EVERY SINGLE possible bulb size in your truck

I was using 5-LED bulbs under the dash from SBL, and they were kinda dimShould've used their 6-LED bulbs. With their 5-LED ones, only that one SMT LED points towards the floor and the rest of the light is wasted in other directions.

^i tried those too and didnt like the concentrated area of light the 6-LED bulbs caused.
