The wiring is fried and I can't tell how much gas I have! HELP!! I need to replace the instrument cluster on my 97 chevy silverado 1500. Does anyone know where I can get a online step-by-step guide on how to replace it? Or is it easy enough that one of you could explain it to me?

If you've found a replacement, then you're looking at 4 screws. It's simple enough you'll feel silly for asking. :cheer:

Pull your bezel off. unscrew the 4 screws holding the gauge cluster in. Pull out the old gauge cluster. Put in new cluster, put in those four screws and replace the bezel... Easy.

And you can get an Escalade cluster from car-part.com pretty cheap - just look up 99 Escalade Speedometer - i found one for 65 after shipping - still didn't help my fuel needle problems..
