View Full Version : Most Noticeable Interior Upgrade?? millerpro 05-06-2008, 10:03 PM what are some of the most noticeable upgrades that can be done to the interior of a regular cab with out costing too much? Empire01 05-06-2008, 11:03 PM Everyone that gets into my truck notices the DVD player first. Roehl_909 05-06-2008, 11:41 PM So far for me the biggest things have been the aftermarket stereo and my dash. I got a metal trim plate off ebay to go over the dead space on the cluster and sprayed it blue, then I got one of the Nu-Image gauge faces. Looks a hell of a lot better than the stock black and green. Detroit Muscle 05-07-2008, 12:31 AM Painting the trim pieces in your dash. Costs about 5 bucks for a can of paint and about an hour or two of your time. SoCalZ28 05-07-2008, 01:46 AM overhead console garrissonj 05-07-2008, 06:17 AM painting the trip pieces. jlee003 05-07-2008, 06:18 AM everybody loves my camo neoprene seat covers. but you gotta love camo. ha ha Koots 05-07-2008, 07:00 AM I painted my dash and i was one of the few people in my hometown who had it done (small town Labrador lol) Most people noticed it first. After i had the door handle trim painted as well, it looked pretty nice. Just put some hours and effort into it (PREP WORK!) and everything should look amazing. neevnav 05-07-2008, 09:28 AM There's big town Labrador? j/k Totally agree with Koots. Painting trim pieces can go a long way towards making your truck stand out. The dash trim, the trime around the door handles, the vents, any of those, look really good when painted. But like Koots emphasized, prep work is the key to success. Mike chriskelley2003 05-07-2008, 09:35 AM painting, seats or seat covers, floor mats, guage face ... any of that would make a big difference in the appearance and should be fairly cheap Nick Z71 05-07-2008, 10:22 AM Put LED's in your interior lights! chriskelley2003 05-07-2008, 10:30 AM Put LED's in your interior lights! i did that one and i completely forgot about it .... that's only really noticable at night though slonlow2000 05-07-2008, 02:53 PM Put LED's in your interior lights! Yeah I just did that, but like said it only helps at night but it stands out. I just ordered a bulb from superbright led's its awesome oneloudz71 05-07-2008, 02:55 PM Get some chick to ride topless in the passenger seat. chriskelley2003 05-07-2008, 02:56 PM i did the full interior on mine ... under the dash, the dome light, the HVAC controls and the guages ... with blue LEDs bgraff1 05-07-2008, 06:25 PM katzkin! millerpro 05-07-2008, 09:46 PM well i painted all my trim pieces a few weeks ago and they look good but they arent very noticeable being black on dark grey. i like the seat cover idea. what color would look good with a black truck with grey interior? if i did that i could repaint the trim to match. DroppedAsAChild 05-07-2008, 10:33 PM Pick a brighter colour or go with like a silver or gun metal or something. Try and do a 2 tone theme 1969 cj-5 05-08-2008, 09:23 AM For ride comfort go with Dynamat and Aftermarket Seats! I put on a lot of miles at once and got really tired and uncomfortable. Dynamat and Seats made it quiet/comfortable and I get a lot less tired now. Koots 05-08-2008, 11:07 AM nice seats do make a difference. Maybe pick up some Escalade leather buckets, even though you have a reg cab. the middle seat is useless and punishing for a passenger anyway. millerpro 05-08-2008, 11:45 AM I think I would like to get a folding console middle seat. anyone know where I can find one? I'm also painting my trim silver. chriskelley2003 05-08-2008, 11:54 AM if you're lookin at seats check ebay, i found a few places that have some really nice seats fairly cheap BHB 05-08-2008, 02:22 PM Four Bonneville buckets. millerpro 05-08-2008, 03:25 PM Four Bonneville buckets. you mean two?
