i'm just posting this up to see what kinda interest i might have. i have a 1983 GMC K1500 Sierra 4x4. this truck is all original, down to the 305 sitting under the hood. it only has 80k original miles, you can look on Carfax to verify the mileage or i have an old report i printed off...it hasn't rolled over. A/C still blows cold, everything still works, has a Sony MP3/CD player with remote. truck is copper in color and has a brown interior as the pics reflect. this is a base model 4x4 with manual windows/manual door locks and a rubber floor mat. has a couple TINY rust holes that just showed up and are easily fixed. now, the bigger problems...it needs a transmission or needs the transmission rebuilt. it is missing reverse, 2nd and OD. most likely the result of a broken sun shield. if i keep the truck (i want to so the trade will have to be decent, i really like this truck...) i'm gonna fix the transmission. also needs exhaust (the original was damaged to the point of restricting the flow so it was cut off, has straight pipe now). also, it needs registration/inspection. i couldn't get it because of the exhaust/transmission.
so, to recap...here are the good and bad...
Good:
-all original, clean body
-clean interior
-functioning A/C
-all gauges function (speedo sticks sometimes)
-runs pretty good
-drives straight/solid
-4x4 works great
-good lookin' truck
-tilt steering is TIGHT, no cracks around the steering gearbox
-i also have a 40,000 mile 350 longblock that i'm willing to throw into the deal depending on the trade...
Bad:
-Needs Transmission-700R4 (will still drive as-is though!)
-Needs registration/inspection
-Needs exhaust
-has two TINY rust holes...i have checked, they don't go any deeper...just the tiny holes need to be fixed. if i didn't tell you about them you probably would never have seen them.
-cruise control doesn't work (i broke a vacuum tee, i can show you which one and where it hooks up at, then the cruise will work

oh, also...two more things. it has 31" Michelin A/T's with about 90% tread...and the other day (last time i drove it) it lost the rear u-joint and damaged the driveshaft, but i will be fixing that myself.
i'd kinda like to hear trades for other vehicles (something i can haul more people in...) but if ya want prices i'm looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,500 for just the truck and $2,500 if i include the 350 i have for it. the prices are negotiable...thanks for looking...
