'96 Sierra CD player delete??

I'm tossing in a new deck for my truck, and I want to get rid of the damn external CD player they put in there.

I've seen people with little cubby holes and storage areas where the CD player goes.

Is there anywhere special that I can find one?? Google has not helped one bit when searching for it.

Just go to your local dealer and tell them that you need the pocket that goes under the hvac control in the trucks that didn't come with a cd player from the factory.

did they change the radio for 98? Because my CD is built into the radio?

I've seen some trucks that have it, and some that don't. Didn't know when they changed it over.

I wanted to know what it was called so I could try to find one off of ebay.

My 98 Burban had the remote located CD player, I got my pocket from the GM dealership when I worked there, I think retail is 14-17 bucks on it IIRC

I keep everything in it too, H/U remote, pens, gas receipts, tic-tacs, change, you name it, I love it! LOL

I got mine online I think the website was hawkexpress.com or somethin. It was like $11, just search ebay for chevy pocket or 96 Sierra pocket or somethin

got mine at ckresto its nice and has like a velvet like lining and mine is a 99 and the headunit was tape with the remote cd
