Ok I have a few questions. Now I am not new to using wood or fiberglass but I am a little confused as to how I can match the lines of the floor and where the console will meet the dash? I guess I could use cardboard but I am just wondering how others have done it? If anyone has some advise on this let me know. Yes once I get started I will post pictures.
Thanks
The way I did mine was use cardboard templates to make the sides. And im talking about alot of them!! Just keep eyeballing your lines and test fitting them until you get the perfect template. As for lining up with the dash, I made molds of the original dash panels and added them to the console, so it was almost built in to the dash

if u want an exact match of your carpet and floor, the best way IMO is to put layers upon layers of aluminum foil and tape over the floor and glass over that to get the base of the console, then proceed with the build . it's extra work, but you know it will sit perfect. you can also use some solid core wire, and bend it to fit the floor shape, and transfer that to cardboard or foamboard.

The Cardboard Ideas seem to be the most simple, but the idea to use fiberglass seems like that would be pretty slick. Also it would give you be best lines to work off of. However I know where I can get a lot of solid core wire. Well looks like I have some work to do.
