i've been doing alot of searching on the lift spindles, it seems fabtech, rcd, and cst make some for the 2wd 99+ gmc's. i'm looking for atleast a 3" spindle, maybe a 4" since it'll ensure clearing the 33"s. it seems all 3 of these companys are great, so i'm wondering who's the cheapest of the 3, and also when i purchase the spindles, do all companies offer kits w/ rear blocks and shocks? i just need rear shocks and 4" blocks. i've searched everywhere for a fabtech website but haven't had any luck yet, any help is greatly appreciated! on CST's site, i was priced 630 for 4" spindles, blocks, and no shocks, 770 with shocks. i thought i could find it a little cheaper than that from maybe fabtech or rcd...

this is jmo, but CST is probably the best kit available. you'll drop more coin on it, but remember, you get what you pay for!:)

If you plan on clearing 33s i would get a 6" spindle lift.... 2wds are smaller than the 4x4s and need a little more lift to clear tires... also... are you going with a 10" wheel?

luke, i guess i kinda forgot to say this will be added to the already 3" lift coil on front, and i've got 2" blocks that will be replaced with a 4", so up front i will have atleast 6" of lift

It looks like your prices for CST products is actually too low. The CST 4" spindle for the 1999+ 2wd Silverado/Sierra actually sells for $689 - all by themselves. The CST 4" spindle is made by hand of 1018 sheet steel and is not cast like the other spindles available. If you want a true 4" spindle the CST and FFS fabricated spindles are your only options.

If you want cheap you should eliminate CST from your list right now - nothing they do is cheap :)

A Fabtech 3" spindle runs about $450. A 4" block & u-bolt kit will run around $60 and shocks will vary depending on what you want to run.

If you wanted to run a FFS 4" fabricated spindle (a rip-off of the CST design) you'd be looking at around $500 for just the spindles.

One last thing... the CST and FFS spindles are designed to use a larger taper ball-joint than stock. If you wish to run the CST or FFS spindles with stock ball-joints you must purchase a $25.00 taper sleeve adapter "kit"

jeff, thanks for all your help, you know your stuff.

where can i get the FFS spindle? and does the same place that carries the spindle carry the adapter kit for the joints? it seems thats the way to go, and if i'm gonna get the 4" spindle, i'd like a 5" block rather than a 4", but that shouldnt change in price right? is there a place that i can get all of this from? or am i gonna have to shop at a few diff stores? also, i plan on installing myself, so this adapter kit, is it complicated or is it something like a sleeve to widen the diameter of my stock ball joints?

and right now i've got trailmaster ssv shocks, i like them and i think i'll stick with them, i will just need a rear set, where to get them also?
this forum rocks, you can get all the info needed!
any website and phone number will be greatly appreciated for these parts i need.

also i read in a post a while back that someone got a fullsize chevy discount(free shipping) is that still stand true? or is that with another company? always great to get a discount! thanks for all of yall's help. keep it coming!:rocking:

The only place I know of that sells FFS spindles online is PerformanceLifts.com. Taller blocks are always more expensive than shorter blocks, so yes, a 5" block would be more expensive than a 4" block kit. Ordering just rear shocks is not a problem, you just have to decide what shocks you wish to run.

The taper sleeve adapters take about 10 seconds per spindle to install. It's simply a machined conical shaped sleeve that is inserted into the CST or FFS spindle to reduce the size so the stock ball-joint fits as it should.

The FSC.com discount varies... but it's always better than the regular everyday price. Free shipping isn't always available because certain kits (like the Dodge Series III) cost upwards of $300 to ship.

E-mail me at Jeff@PerformanceLifts.com if you would like more information.

I saw that you asked for the fabtech website in a earlier post. It's www.fabtechmotorsports.com. Later.

this is for luke, you asked earlier if i was goin to run a 10" wheel, and i guess i overlooked it, yes i plan on running a 10" wheel, haven't decided whether i wanna venture from the typical AR 8hole wheels or not, but this shouldn't arise to be a problem should it?

also i been forgetting to mention, i'm not gonna be able to get the rims and tires right away so i'll be running my 285's for a while, they are on 16x8 rim, will i be able to run these rims with the spindle?
