iv got a 97 chevy single cab short bed. im about to swap out the interior from my old 96 because its in perfect shape and my interior is kinda of beat. the carpet is a wreck. so im gonna hurculiner the floor. and swap in the tan interior from my old truck...iv done this in a 90 gmc before. im wanting to do dash and everything..is there any info or tips anyone wants to offer? and also, my 97 is rolly windows. since i have everything off my old truck could i put power windows/locks in this truck? i guess what im asking is if the power plug is already in the door to hook up if i swap it all? i figure its better than buying a kit for it but i didnt know if the plug was in the door already or not. and all the panels that i take out will i have to get new clips for it all like on the a piller and stuff? thanks for the help

the power wiring will need to be swapped along with the inner door panels that have the window motor attached to it

if you swap complete harnesses then be sure to keep the 97 drac unit in the 97 truck so the speedo is still right

non power doors won't have the wiring in them, you need to swap the door capsule that has the power motor attached to it on both doors and then feed the power wires into the door, you will need the whole power window harness with the relays from the donor truck, you basically need to pull the whole dash to get it out but since it sounds like you are doing that anyway it would be no big deal

If the 96 has power windows/locks you can swap the entire harness and inner door panel into the 97 and have power windows/locks. The interior parts are all the same except the 97 has a passenger side air bag, which the 96 dash has no provisions for, so no airbag for whoever is riding shotgun.
