2003 Silverado Passenger Assist Handle Removal

Okay, Im trying to take the dashboard off my truck but first i need to remove the front passenger assist handle. I poped the two white retaining clips out. No matter how hard i pull, push, pry, or jerk i can't get it off. what am i doing wrong?

haha I had the same problem and eventually gave up. I asked this question a few days ago and didn't get any responses back. I was able to work around it though for the most part but my job would have been a lot easier if I could have taken it out.

So i figured it out, after braking it...

those white clips... i thought u pulled them out... turns out u push on them...

And the dash came out then? I guess maybe that would have been my final piece of the puzzle...at least I didn't break anything lol.

Yeah remove vents and push puttons and remove handle
