Gauge Cluster WTF

I have a 02 silverado. I have no dash lights what so ever.. I also have no lights with my climate crontrols.. I have checked every fuse in the truck and nothing. I have no idea what it is. any ideas.. thanks

turn the dial that turns you overhead dome light on...that's the dimmer for the interior backlights.

I've so done that....I thought I was having light problems because my wife turned the dimmer all the way down. I hope thats all it is.

Id check that first. Some of the older silverados were notorious for lights going out, but I have never seen any with all of them out. A few were coming and going on mine, so I just pounded around where they were going out and they work now, lol.

I lost all of mine not too long ago. Same thing, no luck. I just deal with it.

The switch itself could be (and probably is) bad. All that is, is a variable resistor. You dim it, voltage drops, you put it all the way up, full voltage. Check input voltage on it, then output voltage. If you have no output voltage or it doesnt vary with the adjustment, its a bad switch. If you dont mine wide open all the time, you could just jumper it so its wide open all the time.
