I was wanting to swap my instrument cluster in my 03 silverado to a 04 cluster with a trans temp guage. My dealer said they can only program new clusters and that I would have to have it sent off and pay $150-$200:eek: to have it reprogramed. Is this true?:dunno: I have seen escalade clusters on ebay for $270 with odometer corrections, might just be cheaper to go that way.

Hell no! Damn dealerships. They send it off and it only cost them less than $25 As long as your swapping a 1500 cluster for a 1500 cluster, you'll be fine. If not, then maybe a new Escalade cluster would be better. I did the swap in my 03, and it takes less than 10 minutes to do too.

You can have it programmed under $50 bucks. Search Techni-Car. They have locations in tampa and cleveland. They are certified to repair clusters for GM Ford, and Chrysler. If you need the number, let me know.

Steven,
I called Techni-car and they want $212+ shipping, sounds a little high. Thanks for the help anyway. Anyone else have an idea?

I think I would rather have the correct milage. I would hate to try to convince a possible next owner that there is 20,000 less miles on the truck than the cluster shows. Should it ever be sold.

WHAT!?!?!

When I had mine done, they charged me $25

You'd be better off getting one off ebay for around $260 programmed.

thats why you have a sticker on the door jam showing the mileage isnt correct and when you sign the title you sign saying the mileage isnt correct.
