Adding DIC to 99 OBS tahoe

Hey guys. I know this has been discussed a ton on here, but I searched and found no write-ups on adding a Drivers Information Center module to a 96-99 OBS chevy.

i heard that getting a DIC module from an S-10 will almost wire right up with no issue, but what year S-10 DIC module do I need to find on ebay / junk yard? Will a DIC module from a Pontiac work as long as its 96+ (OBD II). I found several pontiac DICs on ebay pretty cheap. Just wanted to know.


Need help! I am really wanting to add DIC to my tahoe! Any and all help I can get would be great! If I find the right module and hook it up right, I will probably make a write-up on it since I can't find one in existence right now.

UPDATE 03/08/09
Well, after searching and planning, I ended up purchasing a new ScanGaugeII system that will do WAY MORE than the old DIC setup could ever dream of doing. After looking at the what the S10 DIC could display and what the SGII had to offer, and the choice became clear.
the SGII shows up on monday (3/9/09) and as soon as I get it mounted I'll post some pics and a setup tutorial!
