With today's fuel prices, we have received much interest in custom tuning to improve fuel economy.

About six months ago, we received a call from a customer that owned both a 1997 and a 2002 Chevrolet Astro van with all wheel drive (AWD). He claimed the 1997 van was about 2-3 MPG better than the 2002 van - one notable difference between the two models was the shift strategy - the 1997 model seemed to upshift to higher gears sooner. We asked him to drop the van off with us for awhile and we'd investigate. After spending a few hours tweaking the transmission shift strategy and a few other features, we gave the van back. We spoke to the customer a week later and he said, "Well, I'm kind of disappointed, it went from 14 MPG to 17 MPG." ;-) We weren't disappointed - that was a 21% gain in fuel economy!

We've also installed our fuel saver tune on two different 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 crew cab trucks with the 5.3L V8, and both of them went from mid 14 MPG to around 18 MPG.

Our fuel saver tune on the Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 has increased mileage from around 28MPG to 35MPG on the highway.

These are just a few of the success stories we have surrounding our fuel saver tuning. Not all customers see these kinds of gains, and it certainly depends on how the vehicle is being driven / used.
