water spots on paint?

What is the best way to remove water spots on a base-coat/clear-coat factory paint job?
P.S. I have already tried white vinegar with no success.

Double check....you may have acid rain marks!:cussing: Which would be VERY bad!:( If it is just water spots light polishing compound should take them right off, if not you my friend....have acid rain marks!:bawl:

Ummm, did I miss a post about the claybar stuff? Does it work well?

Like CKTA said water spots will come out with cleaner/polishing compound - sometimes even with a rewash. I had some funky spots show up on a black car I used to have - thought they were H2O spots but they were real stubborn. Ended up have to buff 'em out with a 3M polishing compund (1500S - for clear coat), on a rotary buffer/polisher

Thanks for the response guys. I think I am going to take my truck to a local detail shop to see if they can get the spots off.
