just signed papers to buy a 2000 k3500 obs silverado 454 4x4 with 124k for 4k (will have to wait till mon. to get it). i noticed it had a 2 gauge "pod" on the a-pillar; one gauge was a trans temp (which i will probably leave "somewhere" in the truck. the other was a temp gauge, the owner said the factory cluster gauge didnt work. i definetly want to fix the cluster, so that means i wont need the added temp gauge, but if i leave the pod, anyone know of another type gauge i could use just to take up space (and look "cool")?

You could run a fuel pressure gauge?

Always do a volt meter, oil pressure. Oil pressure is always a good mechanical one to have in a higher mileage vehicle.

Vacuum gauge could help achieve better mileage :dunno:
