Did all the obs cheyenne's have a different steering wheel, door pannels (no power), and seats (no power) then the silverados?
All the silverado's I see have interiors resembling this one:

And mine looks like this(old pics):

Did Gm ever make buckets that resemble my trucks seat? My friend has a truck like mine but a silverado and I think my seats are much more comfortable then his.

I know the work truck had different seats. My 98 was a silverado with the fancy leather interior.

to answer your questions...yes, all the Cheyennes had the interior like yours that i've seen...and no, they never made buckets in any other style than the Silverado's cloth and leather patterns...

Dang it, I wish I could get the cheyenne style seats in buckets. And for some reason I like the look/feel of my steering wheel over my friends 98 silvy.

One reason the wheels look different is the first pic is of a non-airbag wheel. The truck pictured is a 3/4 or one ton - note it also has the compartment instead of passenger airbag. Also styles changed a little bit over the years, explaining the different appearance of your airbag wheel.
The cloth on that Cheyenne seat was actually the cloth used on the Cheyenne (and GMC equivalent) seats throughout the entire OBS generation; there's ONE possible way you might end up with buckets in that material but it's going to take some serious hunting, and you'll likely just turn up a bunch of worn-out seats.
For '88 and possibly '89 they offered a split bench in that material; the pre-'95 split bench had the narrow driver's side as opposed to '95-up narrow passenger side. You could use a pair of driver's side seats from this setup to make up a pair of buckets. What would suck about it is that they wouldn't have headrests, and won't recline.
I *THINK* and that's a stretch, I've seen a few '95-up base trim crew cabs with the '95-up style split bench in that cloth but jeez, I could be 100% wrong. I see so many of these damn trucks some of the details start to run together, especially the more vague stuff that you don't see too often.

When did law require drivers side airbags in 3/4+ trucks? I know the passengers didn't have to have them for a while. The one I posted was a 99 or 00 k2500 crew short. My friends 98 k1500 rc/lb silvy has a wheel like that but with a bag in it.

I don't get to see a lot of 3/4's, but I've got a '99 1 ton OBS here with no driver's airbag, and my buddy has one as well.
