I have an 88 k1500 I just aquired and the speedo odometer and trip meter dont work, and when the blinker is on the oil gauge moves back and forth with the click of the blinker. I want to pick up another gauge cluster and was wondering what years would be plug and play for this truck... Also since its lifted 8 inches with oversize tires how would I go about getting the speedo right? Thanks in advance this site rocks....pics of both trucks to come

I did some searches and its looking like the only plug and play is 88-90 and some 91's is this correct?

The '91 cluster w/tach is the closest thing I know of to plug and play. Three wires to move and add a tach wire.

Do a search on this site-- many, many threads.

I can't think of a reason why not. The only thing is- make sure the donor truck has the same rear end gear ratio and trans or the speedometer reading will be off. Also, if the donor truck has a tach make sure the engines are the same. A 4.3 will give a different reading than a V8.
