Ok guys this was what was supposed to be in both threads... there was a database error when i submitted the thread and it caused a weird error here with these two threads.... this is my actual question

has anyone ever used the dash top they sell at ck resto??? I have been trying to do something about my cracked dash for a while now and it is driving e crazy.. the whole interior is in great shape but for some reason the dash took a crap on me last year and started splitting everywhere!!!

the 88-94 dashes crack like crazy b/c they dont have the support like the 95+ dashes do. Best of luck to you with the dash cover looks like that may be a good solution to a cracked dash.

http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp187/elgar555/Picture_071.jpgThat looks great!!! I've been looking at that cover too and I must say I'm sold now. Any additional prep work suggestions? What should you clean the old dash with before you stick? Acetone?

Y'all look closely at that cover; it doesn't have the defrost slats in it, just goes around them. I only mention it because a lot of 88-94 dashes I've seen that are broken, also have at least a few broken defrost slats.

It's certainly not a bad option though for dealing with a busted dash since these are getting so hard to find in good shape.

Thats true about the defrost but for what it is , works great for me for now.
The dash piece comes with the glue for it , what I did is just wiped it down really good with alcohol a few times. put the glue to the back and applied and stacked several books ( heavy books ) let it set over night.

Was it from CKResto as well. If so what #, I have the same color interior.
