I have a 2005 GMC sierra SLT crew cab... it has the dual zone electronic climate control...
The light for the AC button doesn't come on.. How do I replace this light?
As well, when the button is pushed, the little snowflake symbol comes on, and flashes a few times, then goes off... does this mean the ac doesn't work as well, and its more than the button???
I hope this isn't too expensive.. thanks in advance for all of your help/input/guidance!

as for the light being out i have no clue....for the snow flake turning off your not using the auto control right, i had the same problem then realized i didnt have the right temps set or something like that

Sounds like you have a bigger issue then just a burnt out light.

I spent some time on the weekend playing with this, the fuse is alright for the AC unit, the system is topped off, and I was able to get the compressor to kick on if I bypassed the switch with power.
Now I believe it is something in the control, are there any circuit breakers anywhere for the AC that I should look for?
What about a new circuit board to go behind the buttons? Is that pricey?

ok well if the light blinks 3 times, then obviously the light is ok because it came on...... that means the compressor engagement is inhibited for some reason, could be incorrect temp/mode settings or a fault with the compressor or hvac system(mainly control head)

Oh. the backlight? no way around just replacing it then...easy to do if your willing to buy the part.

I replaced mine on my '04 crew cab this weekend... bought parts at radio shack. (12V-50mA Bi-Pin Lamp (272-1554))
Check out my terrible write up here (http://dentnshell.com/Projects/DashLights/DashLights.html) on my personal web page.
Hope this helps.
