well this is my first attempt at interior work. thanks to all of the other people posting their attempts i decided to man up and give it a try. first i did the new (not there before) over head console. love it
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t73/forevrakid/IMG_0338.jpg
then i tried my hand at the doors. unfortunately these door panels don't have the rivets on the back to seperate the upper cloth portion from the rest of the door. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t73/forevrakid/IMG_0340.jpg
So i had to glue it in place and cut to fit. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t73/forevrakid/IMG_0335.jpg
I'm not happy with the edge around it so i ordered some piping material so I can fill in the gap and give it a more finished look. like i said this is my first time. Who knows maybe the second panel will turn out better and cause me to redo this one. sorry for the big pics.

I'm really diggin the piping. I wouldn't have chosen such a load color, but to each their own.

thanks, well it seems everyone does the two different grays(dark and light) and i wanted something different. the blue is a royal blue. the truck color is not your ordinary gray or silver. it's a custom mix i call it aluminum. kind of a gray with a lt. blue pearl. hard to describe. i get a lot of compliments on the color.

lol, yeah every time some one new rides in the truck they're like "dude how do i get out of this thing?" i tell them there is no escape. thanks for the compliments guys. next i am doing the amp rack behind the back seat. stay tuned :rocking:
I seem to be missing some thing here
If you have shaved handles... how did you get a panel without the spot of it? i mean there is no fiber patch on the back or anything
Looks really good though, not a fan of the color but the piping was a nice touch

yup, my bad... was not looking in the right place...
I kept looking where mine would have been... not noticing the power window controls and coming to the conclusion that its a different body style
my fault

I first removed the factory fabric and i cut some(i think it's)masonite. I used the inside door handle for a template. glued it in place with some liquid nails. covered the entire area with some loctite spray glue in a can. i used head liner foam and then the faux suede. my mother in law is a furniture upholsterer so i got the piping from her, i used fabric glue in a squeeze bottle. put that in the area around the fabric. put on the piping and let it sit over night to dry and viola. it's not perfect but it was alot cheaper than paying the local auto trim guy $200 just to do the top of the doors.
