I put a new seat from 08 GMC into my 00 silverado. The bolts lined up perfect, however I cant figure out the wiring. My truck only had a manual seat and I think I figured out a hot wire but am not sure. Anyone know what wires go where. There are 5 wires 2 are 10 gauge and 3 are about 16 gauge. I also need to find a ground wire I belive. Any help on this would be appreciated

question,... what about the seat belt? in your 2000 seat it's within the seat , on 2007 + they are mounted on the b pillar. How did you get around that?

AND..... Why would you do that. The 08 regular seats aren't as comfortable as the previous gen seats. The SLT/LTZ seats aren't bad, but still don't think as good as previous gen seats.

I would think that the switches for the electric lumbar and tilt and stuff would be just regular normally open switches. If thats the case then all of the wires would need power going to them and then your ground. As a guy said above, check how many positions each switch will go and then count your wires. They should be the same number plus a ground.
