Simple question but long story short i have a 94z an just picked up some leather power buckets out of a 98 im gonna hook power up so wat is th red wire an black wire no there either hot or ground jus let me no which is which fellas

Well when i put power seats from a 'burb in my 91, all i did was run a fused power wire to the red wire on the seat, and grounded the ground to the mounting bolts for the seats, never had any probs with mine.

traditionally red is hot and black is ground if thats what your lookin for.
i appreciate guys i was almost positive that black was ground but just wanted t make sure

I did the seat update on my truck there was two power wires and one ground from the seat. I just grounded the black wire to the floor nearby, and ran a power supply from an ignition relay triggered fuse block, because I'm not a big fan of circuits that are live all the time.
