We have had heavy rains for the past couple of days and I have noticed that my driver side floorboard carpet is wet to the touch. I have husky liner floor mats and my windows and doors are closed except when entering and exiting the vehicle. Its only on the driver side. My 2000 used to do the same thing and since I've only had this truck for a couple of months I would like to find a cure quickly. Is this common?? I was thinking it could be a gasket or grommet on the floor board. I haven't driven through any deep water except for the occasional puddle.

My grand am had the same thing on the passenger side. It was a bad seal on the foam piece over the blower motor inlet. Not sure if this applies to your truck though.

Check your driver's side cab vent, which is located between the cab and the bed. Mine was leaking which would make my driver's side floor board wet along with the rear extended cab carpet. I put a rubber sealent on it and so far so good.

I had that problem in my old truck. I checked it and its fine. The carpet in the rear of the cab is also dry.

set anything wet on the floor you dont remember?
And idk about NBS, but my 94 was missing several floor plugs that actually rusted my floor
I'd look into that

I have husky liner mats.. I dont know whats causing it. I never put anything wet on the floor and I dont think anything can leak through those floor mats.

what are smoke shields? The little triangle panel piece on the top of the door panel? Then yes.

It rained again yesterday and once again i have a wet floor board. Im positive its not windshield seals im thinking its around the floorboard area. I took care not to drive through any puddles or splash anywater. I just dont want to destroy my gray carpet this fast.

My truck has this exact same problem. I was cleaning the inside out a couple of months ago and when I pulled out the driver side husky liner there was a wet spot bout 6" in diameter under the mat. I dry it up and seems to come back after driving through the rain. I have yet to figure out where it's coming from.

Thats sounds about right. I checked the ac drain and that wasnt it. I dont think its my rear cab vents because the back seat floor board is dry.

On my 92 Extended Cab, the wet carpet on the passenger side turned out to be coming from the rear window, I don't know it its a factory slider or not, but I took it to a windshield shop and they resealed the back window and that's fixed it. Mine carpet was wet under the heater core area, but I pulled plastic cover off and it didn't seem to be coming from there.
