This stupid thing (OBS style) is making all kinds of squeaks and noise. I fixed all the rattling trim on my rear hatch with foam tape underneath it, but I can't get that black cover off the rear wiper! It has these weird plastic rivets in it. Do I have to drill those out or is there a trick to removing them? Someone must know, plenty of people have deleted their rear wiper. I searched and can't find anything at all. :aniteef:

take a small nail and pop the center in inward. then grab the rivet edge and remove it

Holy crap, seriously? I'm going to try this right now, I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

MAn I had to drill mine out it was a joke I got new ones through lmc as well as the piece that goes between the motor and back glass cause I broke it trying to pull it off

I got it off, had to hammer those center peg things all the way through just like you said. I also got some different fasteners for the cover to put back in that have screw inserts like the ones that hold the trim onto the liftgate. I'm painting the cover with rubberized undercoating (it's all scraped anyway) to see if that cuts the squeaking noise down.

Thanks!

P.S. I damn near almost broke mine too, so it doesn't surprise me!
