88-94 Silverado To Cheyenne Door Panel Swap

I'm looking at getting a pair of Cheyenne door panels for my Silverado with power windows and power locks. These are going in my 91. Extended Cab OBS. The panels come with inner bezels for power windows and locks for the Cheyenne.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but all I would have to do is swap my power window and locks switches from my Silverado bezel and put them in the Cheyenne bezel and I'm good to go.

:eek: I see they have different switches. Maybe I might try to work something out with the silverado door panels or do a 96+ swap.

Kind of curious, maybe I'm confused but it sounds like you're going backwards? Do you mean you're wanting to replace the cloth 90-94 Silverado power window panels with the plastic/vinyl Cheyenne panels from the same year stretch?

The switches are different, yeah, including the plastic bezel that goes around them, and the plastic bezel that is riveted to the inner door skin ("door module") that the outer bezel snaps into. Not hard at all if you have all the pieces available, but you'd be one of the first people I heard wanting to go that direction, usually people are trying to upgrade their Cheyenne to a Silverado.

My truck is a cheyenne, and I prefer the simple clean look of the cheyenne door panels to the silverado ones. I just wish mine were power. The one thing I'm curious about is whether the metal inner door panel is the same between the 2 door panels. If they are, then can you simply drill out the rivets holding in the plastic bezel, and swap the cheyenne ones onto the silverado power inner panels?

I like the simplicity of the panels too, plus they are vinyl compared to the cardboard like stuff I have now. I seen a nice pair at a pull a part and had some nice paint ideas for them. But I'm thinking of just stripping the silverado door panels and doing something with that.

Someotherguy was right about everything needed for the swap. I looked at a buddys and would have to change the switches, the bezel where the handle is at, and the piece that the switches sit in.
