Im making a custom dash for my 88 using the stock dash as a plug for the mold. I have read numerous times that speakers in the dash (4x6's) are pretty much useless and it is best to mount some in the doors. Well my door panels are made to hold two 6.5's in each door. I am trying to figure out what to do with the areas that the 4x6;s went in. I dont know if i should just run my infinities in there with bass blockers, and make the speakers angled out toward the driver/passenger? Should I mount some tweeters under the covers? Fill in the speaker areas completely?? The only thing holding me back from completely filling them in is that there are some mounting points in there (i can get around that) and I dont really like the look of it smoothed over.
So I guess what would be the best decision audio-wise?

In my 93 I've got the Memphis pr's and that's all the speakers I hace at the moment. Sounds good, haven't gotten around to tearing my interior apart to change the rear speakers. 93 single cab all the plastic has to come off to change them.
