I want to glass my dash, need some help...

Hey guys, i want to pull my dash, door panels, and center console out so i can fiber glass them and have them color matched. How do i go abut takeing the dash out? Also how do i fiberglass the dash? Any help would be great! Thanks

The dash is easy to get out. Remove a few screws and clips and a good pull is all it takes. Also theres no need to fiberglass just sand and use a filler primmer to smooth than paint. That's how mine was done. A friend od mine did the same on his doorpanles, but I would 'glass them. Not sure how to glass, gonna be learning that over the winter hopfully.:read: :D

I'm working with fiberglass right now, but lemme tell you. Its not something you can just pickup and start doing. It takes lots of practice and patience. You have to mix in the right amount of hardener and the temp. has to be just right. If not you'll have a big ol'e mess. I'll show you guys what I have been working on in about a week, or 2. lol

hey rohk, check out Steve's site... wreck/tribal vision, he did some fiberglassing. And like mike said, you don't have to glass it, you could use the filler primer, but i would use a body filler over that and smooth that out, because it takes less time then trying to sand out all of the texture...believe me, i have done some on my own, and it takes a lot of time. Check out the tech articles for my instructions on painting, if you need it that is.
