ive got an 03' silverado and want to put some white face overlays or change to the h2 or escalde gauges. I want to know if there is a difference between 99-02 or 03 gauge clusters i would also like to know if anybody has done the h2 swap.

thanks for the help hope it makes sense

I know they are different but I dont know to what extent. I'm pretty sure the gear selector display is different in that it shows more/other info.

The 99-02 will NOT fit in the 03's and vise-versa....the 03's will only fit the 03's.....

I Think it is the shape of the guage cluster....not totally sure though....all I know for sure is that they are incompadilble:cussing:

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the '03s have a 120MPH speedo, so the white face overlay's won't work...as for the Escalade I don't know....if you wait a little bit, they'll come out with the White face overlays soon...:D

The only '03 that I've seen in person was one my cousin rented about a month ago, it had a 120 MPH speedo....thats what I'm basing it on.....anyone else know for sure??

03sierra, Was it hard to take the needles off? i heard the new 03s have electric motors instead of coil drivin needles. I ordered the nrauto ones and efore they get here I wanted to know if you ahd any trouble with them?

Haha... you 2003 guys..

"MILEAGE WILL NOT TRANSFER. Mileage is stored in the stock cluster and 6 other locations on the vehicle."

I can just buy a new cluster and start from 0 :naughty: :naughty: :read: :read:

Just kidding.... but do they 2003's come stock with the tanny temp gauge?

I really like the trip computer... has anyone done any work on the 99+ trucks to tap into the info?

Yeah the new 03s, you have to take the cluster in and have it calibrated with the miles,etc...Thats why I just stuck the nr auto overlay faces on....

Not all the 03s have the trans gauge. mine does cause its a HD...

Not sure about tapping into the 99+ though...

By the way Mac, the LEDS look sick in your truck.. Are you coming to the FSC meet on March 22nd? in nor cal?

Not hard at all, they come off like any other year, NR sends a needle removal tool and they just pop off.
