Here's the ad with pics on -Craigslist- (http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/1206412299.html)
If you want to see any of the problems I've run into (which I fixed), or updates I've made, simply search on my user name on this message board. It's a strong truck that in the right hands could really shine. I just don't have the time to work on it anymore, and I need the space in my driveway. I've spent over $5000 repairing/updating it. It is still primarily stock with exception to the intake/exhaust, and I have the paperwork on the L05 which is still under GM warranty (3 years / 100k miles).
Text of the ad:
180,000 miles on chassis, 6,000 miles on new GM crate 350.
New wheels, tires, shocks 9,000 miles ago. New front halfshafts 3,000 miles ago.
Engine bay has new sheet metal in the fender wells, new paint, motor mounts, seals, sensors, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, battery, fuel filter, flowtech shorty headers, K&N cold air kit, spare tire hoist. Transmission, transfer case, front and rear differentials were completely flushed and serviced when I replaced the old motor. Oil changed every 3000 miles with Mobil 1 Synthetic. A/C blows cold, heater works.
I’m selling the truck to make room for another vehicle, otherwise I would keep it and continue to restore it. The engine runs smooth and has plenty of power, transmission shifts smooth (usual strong 1st/2nd gear shift that these trucks have). Four wheel drive works perfect. I get anywhere from 13 to 16mpg depending on how I drive it.
The body has the usual rust areas that a Chevy this age will have, under the rocker panels and the cab corners, rear bumper, nothing that isn’t fixable. Surface rust is also on the rear frame and leaf springs, but both are still strong. Includes a duraliner bed liner, SS454 mirrors ( I still have the original huge ones too), original owners manual, haynes repair manual.
I’m asking $2700. I have the receipts for all the parts I've installed, as well as a clean title. It would make a good project truck, 4 wheeler, or even a daily work truck. I've used it to haul loads of wood, a motorcycle, move, etc...
