interior question [Archive]

My father and I are about to go look at this 94' Black Z71, The Q about the interior is when did Chevrolet make their big transition into the newer interiors, you know what i'm talking about.... The reason i want to know is, if this Chevy has the older interior I know I don't want it. Im not a big fan of the older interior and since this is a older truck (1994) i think it might have the older interior. Anyone who knows this, please reply it will save my father and I time and gas.... Thank you -Griff:) :crazy:

94's definitely don't have it. I think the change was around 97. Hope this helps.

95 was first year with newer style interior.

'95 was the first yr for the newer int., but stay away from '95's. They are dogs. Drive a pre '94 or '96-98 and then drive a '95. The '95 will feel like a V6.

Regrettably I have to agree with Moving Target to a point. The '95's are dogs, at least mine is. But, aren't the 88-94's the same engines and TBI setup's? If so then they are just as much of a dog as a '95. I do like the interior in my '95 a whole lot better then the 94 and earliers.

pretty much everything on the 88-94 chevy is the same. '95 is believe is when they changed to the new interior. i love that style. thinking about converting it myself. lol.

88-94=same
95-96=same
97-99(classic)=same

Engines:

88-95=TBI
96-99(classic)=Vortec
