I own a 1995 GMC Sierra. A friend of mine who owns a junkyard has some 2000 & up Sierras and Silverados. My truck is also an extended cab. My question is will the front and the rear seat from the newer models fit in my 95 extended cab? I take that some modifications may need to be done...any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am more concerned about the rear bench seat fitting ok!

Just bought some seats out of an 06 sierra for my 97 regular cab. I can tell you this is going to require some modification and fabrication. If anyone has done this please post. If not I will post what I figure out later with pics.

Anybody at all done this? I am taking a good look at it looks like I have to hack the crap out of this track to make it fit over the hump in the back for the gas tank. Searching all over the net and everyone just seems to bolt them in front of the hump. Doesn't seem like the most custom job. I saw a few threads of guys that have done this on this forum, please respond. I'm looking to put them low and to the back. Please help!

Yeah, do you have pics? I know this can be done, I just need to know how to do it. May be cutting into my seat tracks in a few hours so I hope I do this right. Don't want to beat the $hit out of my floor to make it fit.

OK, here is what I did. I measure 4" from the rear of the inner track and 4" up and notched it out. This is not complete just what I have done so far. Have to be honest still sits a little high. By cutting out the raised mounting points and adding a flat mount you can lower the seat a little over an inch. FYI this is going to require some welding. I will post pics as I get further with this project. A custom bracket will also need to be made for the seat belt.

Remove seat belt-

Notch Rear of Track, the mount will be moved into place and a stop will have to be made in the track for the rear-

Some pics of it sitting in the truck, like I said in my opinion it sits a little high but I'm from LA and like to sit low west coast style.

I put 2004 denali seats in my 98, but I had to make custom brackets.

well, you should just maintain your truck as it is. You can make some enhancements if you want.

The fronts should go in without too much hassle, but the rear seat may give you trouble. The NBS rear seat is larger than the obs, plus they mount totally diffent. It could be done without too much trouble though. For the feet on the nbs seat, you would need to drill some new mounting holes in your truck, and possibly add some spacers to the floor to level it. The top of the seat would need some hooks added so the mounting tabs on the seat back could hang from. I would go for it, as long as your able to do some fab work, it would be too hard.
