01 Suburban to 03 Surban dash/controls?

Hello all. I just got a 01 suburban this weekend (and couldln't wait 3 hours before putting it under the knife getting rid of the chrome!)

I had two questions:

1. are the window controls from the 03+ trucks swappable into the 01-02s? (much more modern controls on the 03+)

2. are any of the heater/ac controls swappable too?

I am looking at getting also a double Din dash and radio carrier so i can put in a double din unit, but was looking to update the looks inside all around.

the ddin conversion is a great mod, just got done doing mine. hope it turns out well.

Ah, rock on. worth a try, the newer controls are nice looking, but wasn't worth the extra cost from a 01 to an 03!!!

the 01 interior holds up wayy better. The buttons and controls on the 01 are notorious for peeling.

Now, the debate is whether or not to do something about the interior color. SOOO not a fan of tan, but htat would require either painting them (which can look pretty good in my experience with using the proper paint, primer, sanding, prep, any paint will hold) or finding all new plastics.

Anyone else have good luck/bad luck with this, or is everybody pretty much "Mehhh, leave it alone"? :bling:
