I have recently put all led lights in the interior of my 03 Tahoe. They look amazing but don't give off quite enough light for when you really need it. I want to wire it up, if possible, where all three bulbs come on when a door is opened or the stock switch is turned on. I would also like for the push button functionality to still be there for the individual map lights. I would be ok with pushing one of the switches turning all three on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

that could work..if you use a relay and hook into the wire's after the switch...but that may cos them to both turn on after the door's are closed and when you hit only one of the switch's to turn the dome lamp on itself...been thinkin of doin the same in my 98 just havnt done it yet.

connect the hot wires together

dome lights are constant hot.

if you were to tie the ground wires from the map lights to the dome lights ground, it would work, no more just turning on a map light though. you would have the option to turn them off when the dome light is on though.

The problem I am seeing is there is no wiring for the map lights. They are just switches mounted to the housing with solder terminals on the hidden side. I will try to take a picture and post it. As a side note I also went in and placed leds in the pockets in the dash and under dash lighting as well. It all looks awesome and really sets the dash off.

I just did this to my '01 ExCab Silverado. I followed these instructions to make sure it worked first http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/3679319-post1.html
My problem now is tho, I've got the 3 to come on at the same time, but if you try to utilize both map lights at the same time, I guess since all three the map lights are tied together, they all glow, but its a very low light, if you turn each map light on individually, they glow as bright as they should.

I feel like I failed the venture...

I may have to unplug the 2 wires that I wired to make them all glow at once so at least the map lights would work correctly. IDK.

I did this on my 03 Tahoe. Using diodes, they all come on with the door/hatch, and each map light button still functions correctly. If you don't care at all about the individual map light functions, then just use wire instead of diodes.

Make sure those diodes can handle however many watts the lights are, otherwise they will melt in half.

So what size Diodes are those and are they rated enough to handle to power those lights take? Thanks
