how-to power seats in non power truck?

well i found a junk yard around here that has a set of leather bucket seats in good condition,the only problem is how would i wire them up to work ,i really don't care about the heated seat portion working but do care about the rest of the seat working.Has anyone done this conversion on there truck i really want these seats ,also i have 02 2500 hd with bench seats,thanks in advance for your help :)

i would assume that you could simply get the harness to the actual seats and run it to the appropriate spot in the fuse panel. i have done this on mine for a few things, not seats but i just went to the yard got the harness then went to the local dealer got the wiring diagram for what i wanted to install. if you get parts from the same style truck it should be a bolt in deal.

If you can, get the wiring harness with the seats. If not, it is available from the dealer. Simply swap the seats out and while the seats are out of your truck run the new harness. It runs under the door sill plate, behind the kick panel, and plugs into the power/plug in box thing down by the brake pedal on the floor. The end of the harness plug is shaped so that it will only plug into the correct position.

thanks guys so basically i go buy the harness from the dealer,would you guys happendto have it,also the seats are the ones that are heated and have memory and stuff but i don't care for those things as long as they move thats all i care about,so it's pretty straight forward then just get the harness and plug it in and it should work right,thanks again

My '99 already has the harness for the power seats under the seat, you might check it out first. :D

i looked at the fuse box and i don't have the fuse for the power seat would i have to buy a fuse or a whole distribution box
