how do you remover pass side air vents?

I want to pull out the two air vents above the glovebox on my truck to paint them. I tried prying it with a screwdriver, I think that it will work but want to be sure before I break it.

you can grab the louvers with your finger tips and give a pull - they will pop right out from the vent housing. With them out of the way you can see the clips (four of them) that hold in the housings -pull in on the clips and the housing will slide out of the dash.
